This Ian Stewart mermaid gown features a strapless neckline with a dropped waist in silk dupioni and silk gazar. It has a beaded bodice with ruching and a chapel train. This was my first time shopping for dresses and I was alone when I purchased it. I purchased the VIP ticket to Kleinfeld's sample sale in New York City and on an impulse buy I bought it!! While trying on the dress around the store, several other soon to-be-brides wanted to literally take the dress off my body to try it on! I don't regret buying the dress, because it is beautiful, however, I do regret not thinking about how this dress will fit in with our venue location and overall theme of our wedding (which is in Jamaica in June!) The dress has never been worn, never been altered and is truly a beautiful dress, but after months of consideration, and close friend's opinion, I determined that this dress was not "the one" for me and my tropical wedding. I am a street size six and this dress fit like a glove!!! The silk material gives the dress a glamourous feel and the dress is really light weight.
